Dr. Faisal M. Sanai is a highly regarded Consultant Gastroenterologist and Transplant
Hepatologist, currently serving as
the head of Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Jeddah,
Saudi Arabia. He has
been a pivotal figure in the healthcare landscape, acting as the Advisor to the Ministry of
Health’s Committee for the
Prevention of Viral Hepatitis since 2008, where he has contributed significantly to public
health initiatives aimed at
combating viral hepatitis.
Dr. Sanai's leadership extends to prestigious organizations; he has served on the Board of
Directors for both the Saudi
Gastroenterology Association (SGA) and the Saudi Society for the Study of Liver Disease and
Transplantation (SASLT), as
well as holding roles with Liver International and the World Journal of Gastroenterology. His
academic involvement
includes serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at King Saud University in Riyadh, where he
has influenced the next
